While some folks are worrying if its donut or doughnut, we will just enjoy them. Rightfully so on National Doughnut Day, we are coming to you with Sidecar Doughnuts. These are not your average donuts, and certainly not your averaged price either.
Sidecar Doughnuts was established in 2012 by a creative team who shared a vision of creating something beautiful (and yummy) – a new type of gathering place for their beloved community. Their doughnuts are hand-crafted and pair perfectly with the coffee offerings there. The humans who work there are a joy to speak to! One of the best things about this place was the seasonal flavors in rotation, some are atypical on tradtional doughnuts.

While Ambriss was at Disneyland for her birthday weekend, I decided to hang out in Southern California a bit and got a call from a buddy of mine, Brian aka Bear. Dude knows where all the cool spots are and he said “Yo Pete! Let’s meet for brunch and after that there is a dope doughnut spot that’s super close.” Ok, brunch and donuts used in the same sentence and I am in!

The line for Sidecar is usually pretty long, but it moves really fast. They have a menu of doughnuts that change every so often. I was in line for about 15 minutes until I get in the front and the interior was cozy, welcoming and the displays for the doughnuts right in your face! The cornbread donut was insane!
