It’s December 1 and we love holiday time. As the year continues to fly by we wanted to share some of the top ways to celebrate the magic of the holidays before Christmas. I love the holidays, I have really fond memories growing up so whenever I could I seek out the holidays wherever I’m living.

One of the things we always hear from friends is, I wish I would have known about it or how did you hear about that… so we’ve compiled a list of all of the Holiday Festivities we know about in Northern California.

See Christmas Lights and a Holiday Home Tour

One of our Christmastime traditions is to check out the best Christmas lights in different neighborhoods. Since we’re currently living in Sacramento our go-to neighborhoods are the Fab 40s Christmas lights (we recommend doing a tour with River City Rickshaw to beat the crowds and save your feet), Land Park, Curtis Park, and Elk Grove. If you are looking for a Winter Wonderland a fun family event is the Global Winter Wonderland at Cal Expo now through Jan. 6. One of the things we experienced for the first time last year (2017) was the Sacred Heart Holiday Home Tour in East Sacramento. It kicked off yesterday and runs through Sunday, December 2. If you opt-in for the tour, you get to see five homes decorated by local interior designers.
